چکیده مقاله
This article studies vibrational behavior of incompressible functionally graded plates through using classical plate theory. The plate material properties are assumed to vary continuously in the direction of thickness according to the function of power law. The equations of motion together with the continuity equations are solved analytically for simply supported rectangular plates to find the plate natural frequencies. The results are then compared with those of the previous works. It is shown that based on the classical plate theory, unlike the higher-order theories, the hydrostatic pressure appearing in the constitutive relations of the incompressible materials cannot contribute to carry the bending (out of plane) loads, causing the flexural stiffness and consequently the flexural frequencies to decrease. Therefore, the higher-order theories should be used for free vibration analysis of incompressible functionally graded plates whether the plate is either thin or thick. However, since the natural frequencies based on the classical plate theory are smaller than the others, the results of this theory can be acceptable for design purposes Finally, vibrational behavior of incompressible functionally graded rectangular plates made from robber materials is studied in detail.
